Rooted & Ready Curriculum

Monday through Thursday mornings are core content classes through a Biblical lens. BUT it’s the afternoons that are different.  It’s called Rooted and Ready, and it’s a blueprint for discipleship and adulthood broken into 4 quarters:

Rooted in Purpose

Ready to Steward

Rooted in Citizenship

Ready to Influence

Quarter 1: Rooted in Purpose

  • Identity in Christ

  • Examining Our Gifts and Fruits

  • Serving Others

  • Understanding Prayer and Worship

  • Testimony Training

  • Real World Basics and Work: utilities, budgeting meals, carpentry, and more

“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.”

Quarter 2: Ready to Steward

  • Managing God’s Resources Wisely

  • Opening Bank Accounts

  • Understanding Taxes

  • The Global Economy

  • Automotive Management

  • Credit vs Debit

  • Investments

Quarter 3: Rooted in Citizenship

  • Learning to Live as Salt and Light

  • The U.S. Constitution

  • Media Bias

  • Elections

  • Military

  • Health and the Medical System

  • God as Our Ultimate Provider

  • Preparing to Lead

  • Handshakes, Eye Contact, & Social Skills

  • Resumes

  • Interviewing

  • Etiquette Training

  • Debating and Speaking

  • Communicating with Confidence in God, not Self

  • Making Disciples who Make Disciples

    In Rooted & Ready, students will open bank accounts to practice stewarding their money. During Kingdom Tracks on Fridays, students can earn money into these accounts. We’ve partnered with the founder of Matthew 4:4 Ministries, an organization that delivers Bibles and spreads the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They will organize and lead powerful mission opportunities for students. We’re not just teaching the Great Commission, we’re living it!

  • Apologetics Training

    Apologetics Training

    On Mondays and Tuesdays, Rooted and Ready will start with apologetics training based on the work of Natasha Crain. Students will analyze the “science” and arguments against the Bible in order to defend their faith to the world and know for themselves that the Bible is Truth.

  • Biblical Clarity for Modern Culture

    Drawing from the careful, Bible-first method modeled by “Bible Thinker” Mike Winger, students will learn how to search the Scriptures for clarity, wisdom, and truth. This class equips them to navigate a world saturated with sin and cultural pressure, giving them the tools to stand firm, overcome spiritual battles, and live anchored in God’s Word.
