Debbie Esarey, Board Member

With 41 years in education, I bring a deep and passionate commitment to student learning and school leadership. My career began in the classroom, where I taught Kindergarten, first grade, and 4th grade, and served as a special education teacher and school reading specialist. After 20 years of classroom and specialist work, I transitioned into school leadership, serving as an elementary administrator for 21 years, focusing on teacher development, curriculum enhancement and building supportive school cultures.

I am an active member of Lincoln Hills Christian Church, where I volunteer in multiple ministries. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active at the Harrison County YMCA, reading and cheering for Indiana University basketball and football.

Family is at the heart of my life - I am the proud mother of three and the grandmother of four. My husband, Mike, is a retired educator and administrator, and together we love traveling to visit our children and grandchildren across the country.

My faith in Jesus Christ is central to who I am. His teachings guide my values, decisions, and the way I treat others. Through faith, I've learned the importance of humility, service and grace. It continues to shape my purpose and outlook on life.
